The formation of Asian Supply Base as an Offshore Supply Base, managed by Malaysian experts was part of the Government's aspiration as a way forward to participate and support the Oil & Gas exploration and production (E&P) activities with the objectives to serve as a stocking point for offshore drilling, development and production consumables.

Geographically, Labuan Federal Territory (F.T.), Malaysia is one of the locations that is ideally situated and well equipped to cater for oil and gas companies. ASB started the logistic business as a supply base for the growing oil & gas industry in 1988.

ASB, an ideal supply base with more than 345 acres of developed land area; an experienced player in integrated logistic business, is wholly owned by the State Government of Sabah via Sabah Energy Corporation Sdn Bhd (SEC). It was incorporated in 17th March 1984.

Since the very beginning, ASB, operating 24/7, 365 days a year has focused exclusively in providing facilities and services that are tailored to the requirements of oil and gas companies which are involved in exploration, development and production(EDP) activities.
